MONIKOVA was thrilled to participate in the 13th running year of Fashion Art Toronto (FAT) April 19th, 2018, one of Toronto's most artistic, supportive and experimental fashion events!
We want to say a very big thank you and congratulations to Vajna Vasic, founder and visionary of FAT for providing such an incredible and exciting forum for designers and fashion-lovers in Toronto.

As Vasic explains in Post City Toronto: "FAT has a mandate of presenting fashion in a more exploratory, artful form, and using this art to express social, economic, humanistic, modern day issues and/or stories. The festival allows designers to be creative, without the practical limitations of business."
MONIKOVA explored the story of uninhibited self-expression with a couture/ ready-to-wear runway collection inspired by the historical Great Gatsby and Cabaret eras.
These days, anyone can create a fantastical image of themselves with a selfie stick in their bathroom.... so we wanted to go back to the origins of this movement and look at the post-war society exhibitionists of the 1920s/30s.
With dreamy styles and hella attitude our models rocked the runway with grace and strength, a perfect representation of this collection, and the MONIKOVA style.
We always want to show that women can be elegant and strong, graceful and sexy, pretty and in control. It was a great success.

The model picks and information were incredible; we loved meeting all of these lovely and talented ladies. Hope to work with many of you again soon!
The set up and prep were also awesome, with the FAT team always right on point, from the organizers to the make-up and hair stylists, we were so lucky to be in such good hands.
