Last week I decided to explore with some fabric manipulation that is perfect for some delicate detail in my new tunic collection, which I will introduce this Spring 2017. I always take on challenges. My choice of fabric was a chiffon that is a care free and unstructured fabric by nature, so with the help of some thin paper it allowed me to control this fabrics behavior while keeping its elegant appeal. Paper provides great support when sewing the pleats in two different directions creating a fabulous twisted texture! I am happy with the result, even knowing this yoke takes time to create.
